Tick Awareness
Ticks become more active in the warm weather and are found in grassy or wooded areas.
They are a risk to us and our pets as they transmit diseases, such as:
Lyme disease
Babesiosis
Ehrlichiosis
To protect your pets, we would recommend that you do the following:
Use parasite control that is effective for ticks
Check your pets regularly after they have been outside
To remove ticks properly, by using a tick-remover NOT tweezers.
*If you need help removing a tick, please call to book in with a Nurse to aid you in doing so or booking with a nurse directly online.
We offer the following parasite control for ticks:
Credelio PLUS: This is a tablet which you can give monthly. It is effective by killing ticks, fleas and most worms.
Serest collars: This is a collar application that last 6-8 months. It repels and kills ticks as well as fleas.
